Parsing of Transcriptor-Logs

Greetings,
There is an Addon out there that logs bossfights in a slightly different format than the blizzard combatlog and includes the mobs emotes and some other infos into the logfile. Its often used to create new bossmods for new encounters.
Its called Transcriptor and can be found at http://www.wowace.com/projects/transcriptor/

It would be great if cardioraid would be able to parse this format ( and maybe the older format of transcriptor as well) .
It would be far easier to spot patterns in logfiles with help of wowcardioraid.
Especially if you could show the mobs hp when an ability is cast)

This is an interesting idea.
Anyway i am in the process to link the whole chatlog.txt, so I am not sure that using transcriptor will be different. But I can try.
Could you send me some logs, I never try that myself.

i think i have both fileformats covered in this archive.
I didnt have a look at them (except the creation date) but they may contain german instead of english logs . Im not sure which client-locale i was using back then

analyzing it with notepad isnt that bad
( apart from that ill have exams soon, and ulduar must be clear until then )

I have take a look, and this, in fact, just needs a dedicated parser module.


But, anyway I have to admit that I dont see the benefit of this kind of transcript.

It saves basically the same data than the combatLog.txt+chatlog.txt, but insteed doing this in an optimized flux (like the wowcombatlog does), they do this in a lua file, so this gets fatter in memory...

(and btw, I dont get why they are saving the data twice... this just makes the file heavier...).
